An Ordinary day

It was just a normal Tuesday.

I woke up to my alarm and wanted to sleep again.

I got dressed, ate breakfast, and left for school.

At school, everything was normal.

We had classes, talked with friends, and laughed during breaks.

Nothing special happened that day.

After school, I went home and dropped my backpack.

My mother was in the kitchen, making dinner.

She asked me how my day was.

“Normal,” I said.

She smiled and said, “Sometimes normal is good.”

Later, I sat with my family and we ate dinner together.

We talked, laughed, and shared stories about our day.

It was nothing special, but I remember it clearly.

Before bed, I stood by the window.

The street was quiet, and the lights were shining.

I thought about how simple the day had been.

Then I realized something important.

I had spent the day with people I loved.

I had laughed, eaten, talked, and felt happy.

Maybe an ordinary day could be enough.

Years later, I forgot most things about that day.

I forgot my homework and what I wore.

But I never forgot how happy I felt.

It was only an ordinary day.

But it became a day I never wanted to forget.
