WELCOME TO MOONLIGHT
A rainy Tuesday. A coffee shop. Two strangers who aren't strangers at all. This is how you write a Moonlight story
This what you are reading now is a bubble.
Just a voice in the reader's head.
Use it to set the mood.
Build tension. Control the pace.
A rainy Tuesday.
The kind that makes you order a second coffee you don't need.
Now a face appears.
This is Luna. Her photo shows on the left.
She walked in soaking wet
Shook the rain off her jacket, and picked the worst table in the house.
The one facing the door.
Like she was waiting for someone.
Short bubbles build tension.
Like a heartbeat.
Getting faster.
New face.
This is Cole. Second character.
He'd been in the corner for an hour. Pretending to read.
Watching the door.
When she sat down, he closed his book.
"This seat taken?"
She didn't look up.
"Depends on who's asking"
Dialogue lives inside character bubbles.
One rule:
Under 120 characters.
One thought.
One tap.
One punch.
End every chapter with a line that makes them tap into the next one.
He sat down like he already belonged there.
That's what made her nervous.
